Chemical Elements as Tracers of the Evolution of the Cosmos

CSIC is the main Spanish research institution, with 120 institutes across all branches of Science. Its mission is the promotion, coordination, development and dissemination of scientific and technological research to contribute to the advancement of knowledge, social and economic progress. The Instituto de Ciencias del Espacio (ICE), a CSiC institute, will host the activities of this program. ICE carries out fundamental research in astrophysics, cosmology and Earth observation, and it also develops hardware, software and other engineering solutions for ground based facilities and space missions, Euclid, PLATO, Ariel, CTA and LISA among others. ICE currently has 22 permanent research staff members and it is the top CSIC institute in productivity when normalized according to institute size.
