IJS - TANDEM (SI)
2 MV Tandem accelerator, Jožef Stefan Institute (Ljubljana, Slovenia)
Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia operates a 2 MV Tandem accelerator used for ion beam analysis and nuclear astrophysics
The accelerator is equipped with three ion sources from an intense proton source, duoplasmatron used for helium acceleration and a sputter source used to produce any beam that has a negative ion. The four beam lines are used for micro beam, elemental analysis of objects in air, high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy, analysis of hydrogen concentration in materials and nuclear astrophysics. We have experience in electron screening in nuclear reactions.
