Description

The Vienna Environmental Research Accelerator (VERA) is a dedicated facility for Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) based on a 3-MV Pelletron tandem accelerator from National Electrostatics Corporation (NEC), USA. The facility became operational in 1996 in its original form and has been upgraded in 2001 to accommodate AMS measurement over the entire mass range of the nuclear chart.
